Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer - Fife, Scotland

The Senior NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer role will be focused on the execution of new product introductions on Circuit Card and mechanical assemblies. With a strong technical background in mechanical assembly processes, the NPI Engineer will ensure the successful introduction of new products into Manufacturing through the application of robust manufacturing principles and processes.

Responsibilities:

Focus on CCA & Unit Level assembly Technical and Manufacturing Eng. lead on NPI Builds, with ownership for the execution to agreed schedule and cost, and to required Quality standards and Manufacturing best practices Engagement at all stages of the NPI process; from Bid and Proposal through execution of NPI Builds as a precursor to product release into full rate production. Active participation in DFM and "manufacturability" analyses and reporting Use manufacturing data to identify and address issues Use data to drive Systemic Root Cause and Corrective Action Identify, expedite and / or escalate any quality or performance issues Identify skills training or development requirements and escalate through management Report & maintain Manufacturing Engineering metrics, track performance against Team KPI ...
