Seeking a Senior Powerplant Insight Engineer for my innovative, fast-growing technology client within their aviation engineering team.

** Aircraft powerplant experience essential, preferably commercial fixed wing experience.
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience) Location: South-East England (minimum 4 days per week in office) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 5:30pm
Main responsibilities:
Design and deploy engineering and analytical concepts to identify powerplant repair and overhaul cost reduction opportunities. Analyse repair data, interpret supplier contracts, and identify opportunities for powerplant claims and savings. Collaborate with customer repair management and sourcing teams to develop resilient contracts that maximise value. Develop and deliver training material for customer representatives. Work closely with internal product and data teams to support systemisation of cost reduction opportunities. Mentor and support junior analysts and engineers. Provide expertise in engine forecasting, LLP planning, regulatory requirements, and technical data utilisation. Contribute to the development of next- engine software applications. Occasionally spend time on-site with customers, providing hands-on support, workshops, and presentations.

Ideal candidate profile:
A degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar (desirable). 2+ years' experience in the aviation industry, (10 years+ required for a more Senior role including at least 5 years in Powerplant engineering) from an airline, MRO or supplier. Hands-on powerplant experience (advantageous). A proven track record of delivering cost reductions. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets. Experience reviewing and interpreting supplier contracts. A structured, methodical approach with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both with internal teams and external customers. The ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. A genuine passion for aviation, data, and problem-solving. Candidates must already hold unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK. No sponsorships can be provided now or in the future.
