OverviewVertical Recruitment is working closely with an award winning Independent Structural Engineering Consultancy. The business remained strong throughout 2020 and now due to a significant project win they can offer the chance to work on a 1 billion pound landmark regeneration project. This includes several high-rise buildings for residential, retail and commercial use. The business is looking to appoint a Senior to Principal level Structural Engineer into their well established and successful design team in Central Manchester.Working closely with Directors, the Principal Engineer will contribute to the operational delivery of projects, the management of client relationships and the management of a team, developing their own skills in these areas with a view to taking on a fuller managerial role in due course.ResponsibilitiesManage engineering designs in line with client requirementsReview designs produced by more junior staffTaking a lead role in relation to the technical delivery of projects, and technical supervision and guidance to less experienced staffRecognised point of contact for clients on projectsAlong with Associate contribute to the day-to-day management and control of projects including financial management, compliance checks, environmental and health and safety proceduresAttend and conduct meetingsQualifications, Knowledge & ExperienceDegree Qualified in civil or structural engineeringChartered MIStructEProven experience in technical competence, conducting meetings as well as proven ability to work effectively as part of a teamProven experience working in consultancy environmentKnowledge on Residential, Student Accommodation, Mixed use, Hotels, sports and leisure projectsBenefits25 days annual leave + Bank holidaysCompany sick pay schemePension schemeFlexible workingPermanent health InsuranceEmployee assistance programme, including access to telephone counsellingLife assurancePrivate medical insurance #J-18808-Ljbffr
