Do you want to play a key role in optimising processes for the fast-growing electric vehicle sector?We are a dynamic and expanding manufacturing company, recently transitioned from private limited to public limited, offering excellent opportunities for growth, progression, and international exposure.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, configure, and optimise industrial processes from concept through to start-up and certificationAssess production processes, conduct measurements, and interpret data to identify improvement opportunitiesDesign, run, test, and upgrade mechanical and automated systems, including chemical and batch operationsLead process development and optimisation for EV specialty componentsPerform process simulations and feasibility assessmentsSupport capital equipment introduction, commissioning, and handover to productionProduce clear documentation and operating instructionsApply structured problem-solving methods (DMAIC, 5 Whys, Fishbone) to drive quality and efficiency improvementsImprove Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by reducing downtime, performance issues, and quality lossesImplement and maintain 5S methodology across production areasExperience & Skills RequiredStrong background in mechanical systems, automation, and continuous improvementAutomotive sector experience is essential; EV industry knowledge is advantageousPrinted circuit manufacturing and PCB exposure are highly desirableSix Sigma Yellow or Green certificationAbility to read technical drawings and interpret measurement/process dataExposure to chemical handling and batch production beneficialWhat We OfferCompetitive salary 30,000 - 50,000 DOE8% pension contributionLife assurance and healthcareShare and loyalty schemes25 days holiday + bank holidaysMonday to Friday, 8:30-5:30Occasional domestic and international travel opportunitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of the automotive and EV sector.
