What you’ll be doing
We’re looking for a brilliant Frontend React/React Native Engineer with an eye for UI/UX design to join us on our mission to improve the world’s financial health. You’ll join a team of adaptable, creative, and product-focused engineers who ship working software. You will:

• Join a cross-functional product squad to develop features that improve users’ financial health
• Work on our React Native application, building experiences for users in Cleo’s tone of voice
• Write automated tests to ensure quality
• Use AB-Tests, feature flags, and other tools to iterate quickly
• Use data to analyze user journeys, identify problems, and optimise the Cleo experience
• Participate in weekly app releases to Apple and Google app stores
• Contribute to cross-cutting frontend initiatives and the frontend chapter
• Influence all squad work beyond technical parts through product ideation, user research, design reviews, retrospectives and more

Examples of past product feature work includes:

• Building a secured credit card feature to help users improve credit scores
• Launching a budget rewind feature for better pay-cycle analysis
• Adding discount plans and tiering options to subscriptions for pricing experiments

Whichever squad you join, you will ship changes multiple times a week to hundreds of thousands of active users and have a material impact on financial health.

About You
You are passionate about improving financial health and align with Cleo’s values and engineering principles. For this frontend-focused role, we have the following asks:

• Senior level (SE3/SE4) with strong industry experience using React Native / React with TypeScript for at least 5+ years
• Experience or strong interest in mobile app features, given the mobile-focused work

Our Tech Stack
Ruby on Rails monolith with a single React Native frontend, TypeScript. Python for ML services and PostgreSQL on AWS. CI/CD with automated production deployments; frontend releases weekly to app stores. We emphasize quality with peer reviews and automated testing; moving toward a modular architecture within a monolith.

This is a 4-stage process: Recruiter interview, Engineers interview, Technical live-coding in React, and Engineering Managers interview.
