OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our innovative, fast-growing company.You’ll be a member of our engineering team, contributing to the design of new, cutting-edge products. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience using CAD software, with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. It’s also important that you have project engineering skills to meet the daily demands of the role.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesLiaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical and deliverable requirements are understood.Identify and create a basic schedule for engineering activities to support project completion.Ensure that project kick-off and technical review meetings are held, and solutions are identified and agreed.Create and release project documentation in line with required schedules.Support the engineering (and wider Pacson) team to develop new products in line with the company’s target of bringing circa 20 high performing, competitive product variants to market over the next 5 years.Provide technical support to the Pacson Quality team on resolution of non-conformities.Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.Produce engineering documentation including manufacturing drawings, calculations, specifications, and procedures.Collaborate with colleagues to develop accurate, efficient design tools using departmental software.Recommend and help implement changes to departmental practices and procedures.Act as the Engineering Manager's designee in their absence.Provide mentoring and training to less experienced engineering personnel on task execution and support processes.Review and approve colleagues' work (designs, drawings, calculations, procedures).Work within departmental systems in accordance with company procedures, ISO9000 quality requirements, and relevant legislation.Provide timely feedback to your manager on any limitations (resources, training, academic) affecting your ability to meet targets.Attend and participate in meetings, training, audits, and activities outside the engineering department as directed.Monitor performance against committed goals with your supervisor and participate in system/process reviews.Work reasonable overtime as needed to meet delivery and performance goal.Always conduct yourself professionally in line with the company handbook.AccountabilitiesClear communication and understanding of stakeholder requirements leading to technically sound project execution.Effective scheduling of engineering activities ensuring timely and resource-efficient project delivery.Successful project kick-off and solution definition, with agreed technical direction established early.Thorough and responsible review/approval of peer work, maintaining high engineering standards.Compliance with all internal systems, ISO standards, and legal requirements.Quality and integrity of engineering documentation that supports the manufacture of Pacson product.On-time and complete release of project documentation.Consistency and accuracy of technical support provided to stakeholders.QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or an applicable technical field from a recognised University or CollegeHNC/HND or Degree qualified in mechanical engineering supported by relevant experienceRequirements and SkillsA minimum of 5 years post graduate experience within a computer aided design for manufacturing engineering department.Experience with ISO9000:2000 requirements as they pertain to engineering design systems.Sound knowledge and experience in 2D drafting (AutoCAD), 3D solid modelling (Inventor) packages and ANSYS finite element software packages.Sound knowledge of design methodology in a regulated environment.Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.In depth knowledge of material and design requirements for valve and/or pressure vessel design in accordance with API and ASME.Experience of working in a project environment.Experience of dealing with customers on project technical and non-conformance issues.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesOil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
