JOB TITLE: Senior Project Engineer
WORK LOCATION: Saudi Arabia,Remote Site Location (Gas Compression Station)

ROTATION: 90 days / 30 days
PROJECT SCOPE:
- Saudi Aramco Master Gas System (MGS) Phase III project (Valued USD 1.9B), CPECC serves as the EPC contractor. This project involves the brownfield expansion of three Gas Compressor Stations (BGCS 1, BGCS 3, BGCS 5).
- Remote Site distance from the major cities:
BGCS 1 is near Shedgum area and is about 200KM from Khobar/Dammam.
BGCS 3 is near Saad area and is about 120KM East side from Riyadh
BGCS 5 is near Durma area and is about 210KM West side from Riyadh
- This is a highly strategic mega-project of significant national importance, located in remote areas. The project is currently in its early construction phase, with 80% of engineering completed, at the site Civil construction (excavation, foundation) activities are being carried out. The Temporary Camp facilities (TCF), offices, mess, gym are functional at the remote sites are ready to house the project teams. Employees will be resident on a rotational basis at the TCF during the execution of the project.
- Upon completion of the project the key personnel will be moved either to the Dammam office or to Dubai for the next project execution starting from the engineering stage.
ROLE INTENT
The Senior Project Engineer will be a pivotal on-site leader, serving as the primary technical and execution interface between engineering, construction, and other key project functions. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless site engineering support, optimizing construction execution, and proactively supporting project leadership in achieving milestones. The Senior Project Engineer will play a key role in preparing the project for successful pre-commissioning and handover, all while upholding Aramco's stringent standards and promoting a "Safety First" culture.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Act as the primary point of contact for all on-site engineering queries, redline markups, and technical clarifications, liaising with the home office.
- Facilitate timely resolution of technical issues and engineering discrepancies during construction, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
- Manage and control the latest revisions of engineering documents on site, ensuring their proper use.
- Lead site constructability reviews from an engineering perspective, identifying issues and proposing optimization solutions.
- Provide direct technical and planning support to the construction management team, aligning engineering deliverables with execution plans.
- Collaborate with construction supervisors to interpret engineering documents and ensure proper installation.
- Participate in daily/weekly construction progress meetings, providing engineering insights and addressing technical bottlenecks.
- Support the Project Controls team with accurate progress updates related to engineering completion and site technical resolutions.
- Participate in risk assessments for critical construction activities, providing engineering input.
- Collaborate with the procurement team on site-related material issues, vendor technical queries, and material substitutions.
- Proactively prepare for the commissioning phase by ensuring accurate as-built documentation and assisting with punch list development.
- Ensure construction activities adhere to the project's Quality Management Plan and relevant Aramco standards regarding technical integrity and installation quality.
- Champion a strong safety culture on site, providing engineering input for safe work practices.
- Ensure all site activities comply with Aramco standards, relevant industry codes, and project-specific HSE and quality requirements.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas sector, with at least 5 years as Project Engineer or similar technical site leadership role for mega (USD 700M above) projects.
- Mandatory Aramco project experience, with in-depth knowledge of Aramco engineering standards, procedures (SAES/SAEP), and brownfield project execution requirements.
- Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues on-site and facilitate effective communication between engineering disciplines and construction teams.
- Strong understanding of gas plant process systems, mechanical equipment, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and civil/structural engineering principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating technical and schedule risks.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with project stakeholders, including client PMT representatives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with document control systems.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Mechanical, Chemical, Degree is preferred. Other relevant engineering disciplines will be considered based on experience.
