About Numan

Founded in 2018, we’ve grown to a 200+ team distributed across the globe, united by a mission: empowering people to take control of their health. Numan is transforming health with a platform that integrates diagnostics, medication, supplements, digital programmes, and doctor consultations to maximise life.

Our five values guide everything we do: Patients first; Learn Fast; Own the quality; Succeed together; Care deeply.

Backed by top-tier investors, Numan is already making a positive impact on hundreds of thousands of patients in the UK, and we’re seeking you to help us deliver this mission.

The role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll shape how patients experience our platform by ensuring every release is reliable, scalable, and user-focused. You’ll set the standard for testing excellence while building tools and processes that help teams deliver with confidence.

You’ll be:

  • Partnering with product and engineering to define test scenarios and ensure full coverage.
  • Building and maintaining automation frameworks that scale with our growth.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues across environments and collaborating with developers to resolve them.
  • Driving our automation strategy forward by introducing new tools and approaches.
  • Championing quality across teams — refining workflows and QA principles.
  • Monitoring quality metrics and turning insights into action.
  • Supporting the growth of Junior and Intermediate QA Engineers through mentoring.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Extensive experience in test automation with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise with modern test frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency with source control systems (e.g., GitHub).
  • Strong coding skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience in API testing, using tools like Postman or tests written directly in code.
  • Background in cross-functional, agile teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests for continuous delivery.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar issue-tracking platforms.
  • Experience using TestRail or other test management tools to manage test cases and reporting.

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • ISTQB Advanced Level Certification(s).
  • Experience with BrowserStack or similar platforms for mobile testing.
  • Hands-on experience in mobile test automation.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Exposure to non-functional testing (e.g., security, performance, or load testing).
  • Familiarity with the Shift-Left methodology.

Our Benefits Include

  • Share options.
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (increasing to 30 with tenure).
  • Health insurance with Vitality.
  • Enhanced maternity and parental leave.
  • Nursery benefit provided by YellowNest.
  • Employee assistance programme (therapy, financial planning and discounts).
  • Generous pension (employer and employee contributions).
  • Flexible working options, including a dog-friendly office in Farringdon.
  • Personal training and development budget via Learnerbly.
  • Wellhub membership (access to over 2,000 locations in the UK).
  • Free office snacks and beverages.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Season ticket loan.
  • Discount on Numan products for friends and family.
  • Paid volunteering days.
  • Additional two weeks off on your 5th anniversary with Numan.
