Location: Hubs in Bristol, Glasgow or London (office when needed); field-based work possible depending on role requirements.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and deploy features in a unified OVO security data platform to enable security engineers to optimise cyber defence, attack surface and security controls assurance processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security data and AI trends, tools, and technologies to ensure an innovative technical approach.
- Foster an inclusive team environment where everyone feels valued and can contribute.
- Communicate effectively with collaborators to explain concepts and drive informed decisions.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data models within data warehouses; ingest data from multiple security and technology observability tools to support reporting and continuous improvement of security controls.
First 3 months
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of existing security data sources, data pipelines, data warehouse, and security operations principles.
- Contribute to development and enhancement of security data and AI model architectures.
- Educate other teams about effective security data and AI practices and opportunities.

Google Cloud Platform services, GitHub, Looker, Wiz, Google SecOps, Crowdstrike.
What makes you successful
- Data automation and AI-enablement: Develop tooling to automate security tasks; build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data models; contribute to security-focused codebases; publish automation processes or AI tooling.
- Secure development: Build, test, and deploy components within a secure cloud environment (GCP); understand CI/CD and CSPM tooling.
- Decision support and behaviour change: Design intuitive dashboards and reports; analyse user interaction data to improve design and mitigate biases.
- Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide technical guidance and review work; support professional development.
- Community of Practice: Lead discussions and share practices within the security engineering CoP.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £53,000 – £70,000, depending on skills and experience.
- On-target bonus: 15%.
- Flex Pay: 9% on top of salary; 4% auto-enrolled into pension and 5% flexible for benefits or cash.
