Senior Software Engineer

Manchester tech start-up growing, seeking to expand its software engineering team. You will join a small engineering department and work within a cross-functional product-based team responsible for building cloud-native, serverless systems in a collaborative DevOps environment.

Overview

The teams are responsible for all aspects of the product they work on, from ideation through to deployment and maintenance. They value teamwork over individual heroics and focus on engineering best practices such as TDD, SOLID and Pair Programming.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
  • Apply engineering best practices (TDD, SOLID, Pair Programming).
  • Mentor other team members and collaborate with Product Managers.

Skills

  • TypeScript (Node, React)
  • Observability tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, Honeycomb, CloudWatch, etc.)

Benefits

  • Up to £70k base salary plus benefits
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week in Manchester)
  • 2pm finish every Friday
