Senior Software Engineer, Network Services

In this role, you’ll design and build automation systems and tools that reduce manual network operations, streamline workflows, and improve the reliability of the global infrastructure. Your work will span a broad range of automation efforts—including (but not limited to) provisioning network hardware, implementing new configurations, enforcing access policies across the data centers and AWS environments, and developing observability and monitoring systems. You’ll collaborate closely with the Core Networking team, who design and architect the network, and with infrastructure software engineering teams, who provide the APIs and services your tools will integrate with. Together, you’ll deliver scalable, resilient automation aligned with architectural and security standards. This is a high-impact opportunity to apply software engineering best practices to networking challenges.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a software engineer with a strong track record of delivering automation for mission-critical infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python, with experience in Go or Rust preferred.
• Strong with Ansible (writing playbooks, roles, custom modules).
• Experience with Terraform and/or Pulumi for provisioning infrastructure and integrating it into workflows.
• Experience with open-source network tooling like Nautobot, NetBox, NAPALM, Netmiko
• Comfortable building tools, scripts, and services that interface with network devices and APIs.
• Ideally coming from an automation/networking background
