We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our Software team.

• You will contribute to a team of multi-disciplinary engineers responsible for the Infrastructure Monitoring System.

• You will be a key contributor to our Scrum team, bringing your experience in solving complex problems as we implement new features and improve existing offerings for the distributed system.

• You will regularly describe/present technical solutions to various stakeholders.

• You will work closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to provide regular releases/updates of the Infrastructure Monitoring System and the Web offering.

• Release cycle of approximately 3-4 months.

• You will develop new features for the Infrastructure Monitoring System and the associated Web offering.

• You will also maintain our current products.

• You will provide expert guidance on technical issues encountered by our on-site Field Engineering team.

• You will provide technical assistance and support to our end customers.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.

• At least 5 years of Software Development experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of Java experience.

• Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.

• Knowledge of engineering tools across the software lifecycle, such as Atlassian, Mercurial / Git, Maven (or equivalent).

• Good networking knowledge, including protocols such as HTTP & TCP.

• Linux expertise is advantageous.

• Knowledge of signal processing techniques is advantageous.

• Knowledge of multi-threading and distributed processing is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Work Location: Winfrith, Dorset, UK (Hybrid Working)

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday
