Senior Software Engineer role at atomic. We are looking for a highly capable Senior Software Engineer experienced in modern web engineering to make a significant impact in a dynamic, agile environment.

You possess extensive experience in modern web application development, with a strong foundation in .NET Core or ASP.NET Core, SQL, and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
You are adept at crafting well-thought-out solutions to complex challenges and are eager to mentor the next generation of engineers. At atomic, you will lead projects within our mature team and drive technical excellence, expanding knowledge of modern engineering approaches including AI and ML. You’ll work with a range of modern web technologies including .NET Core, React, and Angular, alongside cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Firebase.

Please note: Whilst the role can largely be undertaken remotely, working from our Nottingham office will be required once a month or so. You will be required to undertake screening and pre-employment checks, including a criminal record (DBS) check. Any adverse check may result in an offer of employment being withdrawn. We do not hold a sponsor’s licence; therefore you must have an existing right to work in the UK to progress your application.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects within a mature engineering team, driving technical excellence and modern engineering practices.
- Develop and deliver high-quality web applications using .NET Core/ASP.NET Core, SQL, and front-end frameworks (Angular or React).
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to plan, design, and implement technical solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to grow their skills and contribute effectively.
- Explore and apply modern technologies including AI and ML within client solutions.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in modern web application development with a strong foundation in .NET Core or ASP.NET Core, SQL, and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Proven ability to craft solutions to complex challenges and to mentor others.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to foster an open and supportive team environment.
- Willingness to learn and apply new engineering approaches and technologies.
