Overview

Gigaclear Abingdon-On-Thames, England, United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to delivering robust, secure, and scalable software systems. You will work closely with Product, QA, and DevOps, balancing hands-on development with architectural contribution and promoting Agile best practices.

Responsibilities

You will translate complex technical concepts to cross-functional audiences and support the team’s technical evolution while ensuring reliable product delivery aligned to business needs. You will be technically proficient and eager to help shape, evolve, and drive technical growth of team members and their practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong Python Development Capability - 5 years+
• Experience implementing and integrating with REST APIs
• SQL experience (preferably PostgreSQL and/or MySQL)
• Passionate about building quality software

Desirable

• Experience of developing in Rust
• Experience with containers and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, and others)
• Experience with Linux development/management
• GIS experience
