Key Responsibilities

• Act as a product advocate in all areas of the business.
• Use Ruby on Rails to produce high-quality, user-friendly software applications.
• Help drive cloud native best practices within the engineering teams.
• Champion the use of AI to assist with engineering practices.
• Continuously evolve and champion a set of professional coding standards and design guidelines within the team.
• Build and maintain strong version control, with CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrate a high level of software craftsmanship, commitment to quality and a conscientious approach to work.
• Have a strong knowledge of software development life-cycle processes including Agile and Scrum (iterative releases, daily build/test, code inspections, etc.).
• Participate in team ceremonies and contribute towards overall delivery success.
• Act as a role model for strong unit testing and TDD practices.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, tools and techniques.
• Offer technical advice, guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the development team.
• Promote a positive attitude to the whole company and its customers, with a can-do attitude.
• Communicate effectively to provide quality updates on work progress to relevant stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

• Ruby on Rails
• C#
• Object-oriented principles
• HTML5/CSS3
• SQL Database technology; PostgreSQL, MSSQL
• Cloud infrastructure experience (Azure, AWS or others)
• JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Ember, Angular etc.)
• Linux / OS-X command line

Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) is becoming Klipboard and our new brand brings together our expertise across distribution, automotive, retail, rental, transport management, manufacturing, and field service management. We have offices across the world and are looking for talented individuals to join our growing teams. Klipboard has a flexible hybrid work policy, where employees spend three days in the office and two days working from home, combining collaboration with remote work.
