The Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of core systems powering Lattice. This role is about ownership: you’ll architect and scale critical infrastructure, mentor engineers, and ensure our platform is robust, performant, and ready for enterprise scale. You’ll work across backend, APIs, data, and integrations - turning complex requirements into production software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of backend services, APIs, and system architecture.
• Build scalable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured inputs.
• Guide integration of AI/ML models into production systems.
• Set best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring.
• Collaborate with product and domain experts to deliver enterprise-grade features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend focus.
• Experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Node.js, or React.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL + NoSQL), cloud infrastructure, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience architecting and scaling production systems.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment with high ownership.

Nice to Have

• Experience in enterprise SaaS or B2B platforms.
• Familiarity with ML/AI integration and data-heavy workflows.
• Prior startup or early-stage company experience.
• Domain knowledge in energy, natural resources, or finance.
