Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of skilled software engineers in designing and developing an Azure solution which administers and manages the industrial design data underpinning AVEVA’s Design products.
  • As part of the Data Platform Cloud team, work on a highly available global solution for managing industrial design data, leveraging both cloud and edge technology.
  • Research, design and implement innovative solutions to complex technical problems in partnership with the Product Owner, stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstratable experience of strong design and coding skills, ideally using C#
  • Strong experience of cloud development, ideally using ASP.Net Core
  • Solid understanding of cloud service architecture, preferably in Azure
  • Experience in Microservices/Service Oriented Architecture
  • Experience in CI/CD Tools and Processes
  • Strong communication skills, working with a broad range of people across locations and business areas
  • Willingness to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues
  • Champion best practices and standards across the software development lifecycle
  • Positive approach to problem solving with a ‘can do’ attitude

Ideal Experience

  • Web development using Angular and Typescript would be beneficial
  • DevOps experience, containers, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience mentoring and training more junior colleagues

Desired Skills

  • Desire to own and solve challenging technical problems
  • Thirst for continuous learning and supporting junior colleagues
  • Ability to present and convey information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
