Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and solve complex software issues to scale and future-proof the business
  • Deliver production-ready, high-quality code in the applicable languages and follow agile processes
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to anticipate blockers, manage expectations and solve problems
  • Champion testing techniques and frameworks to improve quality and efficiency
  • Mentor and develop junior colleagues
  • Work with our tech stack or similar languages with a willingness to adapt
  • Show genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer solutions with maintainable code
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to consistently deliver against key projects
  • Understand web development practices, tools, and, ideally, e-commerce experience
  • Have a broad understanding of software architecture, databases, infrastructure, scalability, and deployment
  • Possess practical hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle, CI/CD, and QA
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Ability to commute to our Central Business District offices at least 3 days a week

Technologies

  • Cloud-first with AWS
  • Back end: Java with Spring and Python
  • Other languages: TypeScript; legacy PHP stack being migrated

Qualifications

  • Experience with our stack or similar languages; ability to work with the current tech set
  • Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, databases, infrastructure, and deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end software solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders
