Senior Software Engineer - Python

Permanent – Hybrid Working

£70,000 - £80,000 base plus package


We are currently recruiting a Senior Backend Engineer to join a talented engineering team, building highly scalable backend services that power exceptional customer experiences.


This is a role where your technical expertise will directly shape the future of retail and other new greenfield digital services.


Experience you need to have:


  • Extensive experience (7+yrs) within Python (ideally using Django)
  • A solid understanding of databases, OO design, data structures and SOLID principles
  • Analytical mindset with a love for problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Experience with modern practices including code reviews, pair programming and Agile
  • Strong collaborative approach - energy and drive to work in a fast-paced environment!
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across the team


Tech Stack includes:


Python, Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub


The Package:


  • £70,000-£80,000 base salary
  • 10% performance-based bonus
  • 28 days annual leave (plus public holidays)
  • Private medical insurance
  • 8% pension (total)
