Senior Software Engineer – Node, TypeScript, React, APIs, Greenfield, AWS, Microservices — £90,000-£95,000 + 10% discretionary bonus + benefits

Method Resourcing is partnered with a global leader in the travel services and benefits sector. They’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive innovation and greenfield functionality as the company explores AI.

Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will join a collaborative, high-impact team where you'll help shape and deliver cutting-edge solutions. This role offers the chance to design and build cloud-native platforms that leverage AI, automation, and modern architectures at scale. Beyond coding, you'll have a strong voice in product direction, architectural strategy, and fostering an engineering culture rooted in best practices. Responsibilities

• Help shape and deliver cutting-edge solutions and greenfield functionality.
• Design and build cloud-native platforms that leverage AI, automation, and modern architectures at scale.
• Contribute to product direction and architectural strategy; foster best practices within the engineering culture.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create clean, reliable software.

Skills & Experience

• Tech Stack Expertise – TypeScript (Node.js as primary, React experience also relevant; backend-focused) and AWS cloud technologies. Familiarity with Kubernetes, GraphQL, Kafka, and Mongo would be desirable.
• Architecture & Problem-Solving – Ability to design systems that manage high traffic efficiently and integrate into complex environments.
• Tooling & Collaboration – Proficient with Git, Confluence, Jira, and modern engineering workflows to streamline development.
• Mentorship – Actively mentors junior engineers, provides guidance, reviews designs, and maintains best practices.
• APIs – Deep knowledge of building and scaling resilient APIs (REST and GraphQL).

Working pattern
