Software Engineer – AI & Full Stack

Location: UK (Remote/Hybrid flexibility). Permanent: 4+ days a week on-site.

My client is an early-stage technology company building an AI-driven platform that’s transforming how businesses deliver value to their customers. They’re now looking for a Software Engineer to join the team at a formative stage, helping shape both the product and the technical direction.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work across backend systems, DevOps pipelines, data engineering, and applied AI projects. This is a broad, hands-on role with the chance to influence multiple products—from APIs and full-stack applications to machine learning models and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Developing AI-powered product features and enhancing existing solutions.
• Collaborating on ML model development, from research and training to optimization and deployment.
• Designing and building robust APIs and scalable systems with efficient data flows.
• Working with SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, Elasticsearch, MongoDB) to optimise and manage storage.
• Implementing DevOps best practices with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Leading data engineering initiatives to support analytics and product evolution.

What They’re Looking For

• 1–2+ years’ professional software engineering experience, ideally in backend, DevOps, or full stack roles.
• Proficiency in Python and exposure to ML-oriented development.
• Ideally startup environment experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach.
• Comfortable working with SQL & NoSQL databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
