Senior Structural Engineer

Pick Everard's thriving Structural Engineering team in Manchester is expanding. We are looking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer to work on exciting new ventures and undertake site survey work.

The role offers a wide and varied workload, focusing on the design and management of diverse projects including health, education, commercial, custodial, and residential sectors. You can view some of our projects here.

You will take on and lead project delivery, ensuring high quality, timely, and budget-conscious completion. There are opportunities to achieve (if not already) chartered status, with mentors for both IStructE and ICE, and access to workshops and seminars aligned with the chartership process.

About You

The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional designs and driven to succeed across a range of projects. Our ideal Senior Structural Engineer will have:

• Structural design experience in roles involving steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
• Structural surveying experience
• Good verbal communication skills for liaising with clients and the design team, coaching, and supervising employees
• Proficiency with relevant software (Tekla, Tedds, SCIA, AutoCAD)
• Ability to carry out site inspections

It would be advantageous to have:

• Incorporated/Chartered membership of ICE or IStructE
• Understanding of forms of appointment and construction contracts
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• High-level broad technical appreciation
