Overview
We are looking for experienced Structural Project Engineers for a growing Engineering Consultancy – based near Chorley or Shrewsbury.
Ideally the candidate would have a minimum of three years’ UK experience of Structural design within residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
Each engineer has a number of projects and clients to manage at any one time, with a requirement to meet the needs and demands of our clients and business goals. You will be expected to support our Principal engineers and Directors across the group. The role will involve mentoring less experienced members of the team to develop their skills and your own skills. There is an opportunity based at Chorley and at our Shrewsbury office, however each office works closely together assisting on projects where required.
About the candidate
You must be self-motivated, driven by a challenge whilst continually developing new skills and sharing experience with the team.
Essential Experience
Minimum three years’ experience within Structural design including steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry construction to Euro Code standard
Proficient use of AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS design software
Producing detailed structural calculations and sketches
Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations
Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings
Understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
Project management and leadership skills
Willing to work towards or nearing Chartered Status
