The Role - Job Overview

Lead the delivery of structural designs using both advanced software and hand calculations

Manage projects from feasibility to completion, including site inspections, reporting, and client liaison

Collaborate with contractors, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure project success

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team

Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, planning approvals, and listed building regulations

Monitor budgets, resources, and contractor performance to deliver on time and within scope

Support business development by building strong client relationships and promoting the consultancy's services

About You - Job Requirements

Degree qualified in Structural Engineering (MEng or equivalent)

Significant experience in a consultancy environment, ideally across insurance, surveying, architecture, or planning projects

Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards, industry legislation, and best practice

Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex schemes on time and budget

Excellent analytical, numerical, and IT skills

Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think methodically and commercially

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing roles
