PUNCH Consulting Engineers have a vacancy for a Senior Structural Precast Engineer to work from one of our UK offices (Glasgow/Macclesfield). Overview As a senior precast engineer you will be working closely with senior managers on the delivery of major structural projects involving precast concrete design and detailing. You will work with our precast concrete team in Ireland and the UK. You will be responsible for the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your project. Your work will be carried out in accordance with the company ISO procedures. Responsibilities

Manage the technical, managerial and commercial aspects of your projects. Ensure all project work complies with the company ISO procedures.
Candidate requirements
Chartered Engineer status with the ICE Honours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a design office, with at least 2 years’ experience in the design of precast concrete elements, ideally with a precast concrete manufacturer Proficiency in written and spoken English Experienced in Tekla Structures Sound understanding of engineering principles and codes of practice; ability to apply engineering principles and codes to solve technical problems Excellent conceptual design abilities to provide robust and economical solutions Strong IT skills including Tekla Structural Designer; REVIT & AutoCAD; structural design software such as ROBOT, ETABS, SCIA, STRAP, TEDDS; Word, Excel, Power Point Ability to adopt new design software to benefit project work Independent judgement in applying engineering science and knowledge including complex design, construction and management Leadership skills to plan, manage and direct team members A successful track record working closely with clients and contractors and other design team members Strong communication skills, both written and oral A positive, proactive approach with the ability to adapt to changing scenarios Business effectiveness – lead by example Commitment to CPD and competence
