This exciting opportunity offers a hybrid work model and the chance to make a significant impact in the automotive industry.Position DetailsContract Duration: Until 31/08/2026 (with potential for extension)Hours: 37 hours per weekWork Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, flexible based on business needs)Pay Rates: PAYE: £34.85, LTD: £40.46Travel: International/UK travel may be requiredLicense: A Full UK Driving License is essential Main Goals and ObjectivesAs a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be at the forefront of quality planning for priority components, ensuring they meet design specifications and are approved through the 2DP process. Your role will encompass:Technical Support: Provide guidance on complex supplier quality issues, driving improvements to meet product quality targets.Supplier Performance: Ensure our client has the essential information to nominate suppliers that align with VW group quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Planning: Deliver parts quality planning tools aligned with project gateways, including lessons learned, risk assessments, and QTR reporting.Part Maturation: Manage the approval process and facilitate the Meisterbock process while resolving any supplier-related issues.Quality Targets: Drive actions to achieve quality targets on vehicles, identifying risks and escalating when necessary.Supplier Improvement: Monitor and enhance supplier performance, supporting the nomination process and utilising problem-solving techniques.Team Support: Act as a deputy for the Supplier Quality Manager, assisting with key deliverables and operational activities. Skills & ExperienceSignificant experience in engineering across multiple commodities, or as a specialist in one.Expertise in automotive supplier quality management, either from the supplier side or OEM.Proven ability to manage systems and processes that enhance part quality.Strong quality planning skills with a track record of delivering QA standards under time and cost constraints.Advanced knowledge of quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA) and the ability to read technical documents.Excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. QualificationsBachelor's degree in an engineering field or HNC/HND with extensive relevant experience.Associate membership of a relevant professional institution.A valid UK driving license.
