OverviewSenior Technology EngineerLocation: Any Nationwide office location across England / Hybrid workingSalary: £46,000 - £52,000 + packageIndustry sector: HighwaysResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise in the identification and evaluation of technology asset specific needs and early solutions, while ensuring adherence to asset policies and standards.Drive as part of the role; you will need to have no more than 3 points on your driving licence to be considered for this position and during employment.Develop early solutions for improvements and/or renewals, including compiling relevant documents, evidence and options for value management, taking into account new techniques, materials, buildability and costs.Help drive standardized and more efficient ways of working by assisting regional delivery teams with activity such as improving task briefs, improving approach to survey works, developing standardized technology scheme designs and equipment packs to support the improvement and/or renewal of assets.Continually develop the asset led forward national roadside technology programme and initial scheme development activity. Maintain an accurate national programme view of outputs and spend. Act as a point of contact for approving/rejecting change control submissions which will affect the national programme.Provide technical support to Project Managers, Business Partners and Equipment Manufacturers by acting as a central point of contact to share learning and best practice across regions.Review third-party designs for compliance to design and maintenance requirements.Undertake feasibility studies, investigations, and technology research to provide innovative solutions.About youChartered or Incorporated Engineer and member of a relevant professional body with appropriate experienceDegree or HND in related discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalentExperience of ITS (Intelligent Transport System)Strong understanding of CDM 2015Knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) standards and their application on the highways networkFusion People is committed to promoting equal opportunities to people regardless of age, gender, religion, belief, race, sexuality or disability.
