We’re working with an award-winning, engineering organisation, who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will work within Test Software, collaborating across Electronic Engineering, a Test Centre of Excellence and Software Engineering to deliver a UK- wide test capability. The Senior Software Engineer role The Test Software team work to deliver test capability in partnership with colleagues in Electronic Design, the Test Centre of Excellence and other areas of Software Engineering. Their mission is to facilitate robust and timely testing of missile systems. Spanning a diverse portfolio of work packages, the team directly influences the company’s product certification, manufacturing output and support activities. Specifically, they are responsible for developing and supporting software packages that utilise Test Equipment hardware to configure, verify and validate the conformance and quality of our UK product range from development, through production and into field test scenarios. It is a multi-disciplined, dynamic, focused and agile team specialising in all aspects of test solution design, including software, hardware, simulation and real-time systems. Senior Software Engineer experience required A software or electronics engineer with transferable talent into software development for test solutions: * * * Strong ability to write software in languages such as C, C++, C# or ADA and motivated to develop reliable, high-performance software. * Excellent analytical and design ability, including review and critical analysis. * ‘Can do’ and flexible approach – you’ll enjoy solving technical problems extending beyond the bounds of “software”. * Keen to work on novel products where the software you produce is time and mission-critical * Able to communicate effectively with Systems Engineering, Electronics and Electrical, and Test and Validation The business are firm believers in offering all staff the best possible platform to succeed, providing support for career development as well as personal assistance.
