Location: Flexible in the UK Salary: Up to£110,000 + benefits (negotiable) Employment Type: Permanent Turner Lovell are supporting a global engineering consultancy that is expanding their Transmission & Distribution business in line with the UK’s energy transition. We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with strong primary plant expertise in HV substation projects (400kV) to join their growing team. In this role, you will design and deliver primary plant solutions. You will work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and technical specialists to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative designs. Responsibilities Deliver detailed electrical designs for primary plant (substation). Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders across design and build phases to achieve the highest technical and safety standards. Attend client meetings and undertake regular site visits. Support project delivery across multiple energy and infrastructure programmes for National Grid and Tier 1 contractors. Provide mentoring within a growing Energy & Power team. Requirements MEng, BEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar. 7+ years primary plant design experience with at least 2–3 years on National Grid 400kV / HV projects (essential). Strong understanding of design & build environments within major contractors or consultancies delivering for National Grid is highly desirable. CDAE / LCDAE accreditation is highly valued, TP141 registration is an advantage.
