Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer (Building Services)
Glasgow (or Edinburgh, with flexibility across the UK)
Permanent, Full–time – 37.5 hours per week

The role

As a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role within the company's Energy and Special Interest Projects team, leading the design and delivery of a variety of small and large–scale schemes across RIBA Stages 2–7.

  • Leading LV electrical design for building services and infrastructure, including switchgear, transformers, cabling and control systems.
  • Preparing feasibility studies, concept designs, specifications, and calculations.
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior engineers and checking technical work.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and key suppliers.
  • Contributing to business development and project management activities.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

About you

You'll ideally bring:

  • A degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered status (CIBSE or IET), or working towards it.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Dialux and Amtech.
  • Experience delivering electrical design projects within building services or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A good understanding of UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and ISO 19650 information management principles.
  • Knowledge of HV design would be advantageous.
