We are an equal opportunities employer, currently employing over 1,300 people who are vital to our success and customer service.About the Service and Commissioning Engineer roleThe role is based at our facility in Great Yarmouth.Responsibilities include after-sales service, routine maintenance, breakdown support, and repair of all SIS supplied X-ray products. The role also involves in-house and on-site commissioning of new systems.A typical day may involve carrying out routine service, maintenance, breakdown repairs at customer sites in the UK and Ireland, diagnosing faults, and recommending improvements.You will assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment, including development, testing, and commissioning of electro-mechanical radiation components of X-ray products.Additional responsibilities includeProviding customer training on equipment maintenance, fault finding, and operation.Maintaining stock X-ray equipment, demonstration systems, and spare parts.Completing reports, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and other documentation in line with quality standards and customer requirements.Participating in on-call support duties on a rotational basis.Working HoursBasic hours are 39 per week: 8 hours Monday to Thursday, 5 hours on Friday, with additional hours as required for site work.What we're looking forBroad knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering with hands-on skills.Competence in using electrical test and measurement equipment safely.Knowledge of QA and safety procedures.Full, clean UK driving license.Ability to obtain SC or DV security clearance.HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering.18th Edition Electrical Qualification (desirable).What you will get in returnFrom 23 days annual leave plus public holidays.Training through our Hayley Academy.Company pension (if eligible).Life assurance (x2 salary).Healthcare schemes.Wellness programmes.Uniform and PPE provided.Career development opportunities.The recruitment processApplications close on Sunday, 31st August 2025.
