Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of agricultural and horticultural machinery, including tractors, mowers, compact tractors, utility vehicles, cultivators, and related equipment. Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections, and safety checks. Perform fault finding and troubleshooting using both mechanical knowledge and diagnostic equipment. Support customers on-site and provide effective technical advice and solutions. Ensure high standards of workmanship, keeping detailed service and repair records. Manage parts ordering, stock levels, and liaise with suppliers where required. Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining strong relationships with clients. Adhere to all company health and safety policies and safe working practices.
Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Service Engineer / Technician working with agricultural, horticultural, or plant machinery. Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Good IT literacy for diagnostic tools and service reporting. Full UK driving licence (HGV desirable but not essential).
