The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is looking a Shift Engineer who will ensure the smooth running of our propertys engineering operations, carry out preventive and reactive maintenance, and support in keeping our facilities safe, efficient, and guest-ready.

Key responsibilities: To carry out works scheduled by the Engineering Supervisor. To cover shifts as per monthly rota. To assist Rooms Engineer and Plant Room Engineer as and when necessary. To carry out PPM in all bed rooms, meeting rooms and all public areas. To check that all plants in boiler house, basement plant room, roof plant room and other plant rooms are functioning correctly: all plant areas are kept clean and tidy and hazard Free. To be aware of any scheduled works to be carried out by any contractors. To check the standard of workmanship, authorise worksheets. To ensure at all times that the required levels of spares i.e. light bulbs, cables, plumbing parts, fan belts, filters, motors, controls, paints etc are available. To highlight any major problems that may affect the operation of the hotel and advise of any plant and equipment that may require replacement for inclusion into the capital expenditure budget. To be aware of any current legislation requirements that may affect the hotel. To work with nominated suppliers on legal requirements. To attend any training sessions as required. To be fully conversant with the Hotel Fire and Emergency operations. To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times. To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management. To know and follow the Health & Safety at Work Act. Take pride in your personal appearance at all times and remember that you leave any room free of any debris that you have created. Checking and monitoring boilers, chlorifiers, chillers, pumps and motors, tanks and pipes for any leaks and repairs where necessary, Inserting all event timing on the BMS, Checking generator, To cover shift engineering when necessary, This description is not exhaustive.
