Senior Simulation and Modelling Engineer

Carbon60 is seeking an experienced Simulation and Modelling Engineer to join their dynamic team working on a fast-paced and challenging project. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of specific aspects of the performance model used to support a key programme within the organisation.

Responsibilities Developing computer simulations and Simulink models from mathematical specifications Integrating components from within the team and other project areas Designing, implementing, testing, and reviewing models, ensuring compliance with quality standards Maintaining appropriate design records and supporting documentation Interacting autonomously with other functional teams, such as Guidance Navigation & Control, Software, and Systems Design & Validation Performing technical analyses and investigations to identify and resolve issues Engaging with model users to understand their needs and ensure the model is fit for its intended use Required Skills and Qualifications An appropriate engineering degree or master's degree, such as in Systems, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics Proven experience in Simulation and Modelling, preferably in the aerospace industry Proficiency in using The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow Ability to produce computer simulations and Simulink models from mathematical specifications Strong understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality-driven environment Knowledge of coding standards and experience with languages such as C, FORTRAN, or Ada Familiarity with configuration management tools like Rational Team Concert and requirement management tools like DOORS Experience with autocode generation from Simulink Location:

Umbrella £75 per hour Work Structure:
