Site Engineer – Setting Out

We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Site Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working across Tayside and the surrounding areas.

This role involves managing efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused services, ensuring that all works comply with legislation, client specifications, and health, safety, and environmental standards. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering projects to the highest standard while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Setting up and maintaining site control.

*

Setting out roads, sewers, and structures.

*

Ensuring compliance with works standards, design, and specifications.

*

Reviewing project design and attending internal progress meetings.

*

Acting as a direct point of contact between the client and the company.

*

Managing labour, plant, and materials across multiple projects.

*

Carrying out land, stockpile, and construction surveys.

*

Supervising works and ensuring project specifications are met.

*

Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and professional staff.

*

Preparing site reports, drawings, and technical documentation.

*

Providing technical advice and problem-solving support.

Essential Requirements

*

Valid CSCS card

*

Proven site experience

*

Full driving licence

Desirable Qualifications

*

First Aid (appointed person)

*

HNC/HND in Civil Engineering

*

SSSTS certification
