Site Engineer

RTL Group are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor who is seeking a Site Engineer with strong marine and heavy civils experience to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Shetland Islands. Thi position is running for 4-6 month basis.
Key Responsibilities
*
Setting out and surveying for marine and coastal structures (including piling, reinforced concrete, quay walls, etc.)
*
Use of GPS, total station and AutoCAD for accurate setting out and as-built records
*
Supporting site management in supervising subcontractors and coordinating works
*
Producing and managing QA documentation (ITPs, site diaries, check sheets, etc.)
*
Assisting with temporary works procedures and inspections
*
Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with HSE and project standards
Candidate Requirements
*
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
*
Minimum 3 years of site engineering experience on marine or heavy civils projects
*
Proficient with setting out equipment and AutoCAD
*
CSCS card (essential); SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
*
Must be eligible to work in the UK
*
Comfortable working in a remote location (rotation or extended time away from home may be required)
