We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support a major highways project in Norfolk. This is a 12-month contract working with a leading civil engineering contractor delivering junction upgrades, road widening, drainage, and other highway improvement works.

The role will suit a proactive and competent engineer with a strong background in setting out and managing key aspects of highways schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for highways works including kerbs, drainage, ducting, earthworks, and surfacing

*

Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and design teams

*

Producing and reviewing as-built records and QA documentation

*

Managing technical queries and ensuring work is delivered in line with the latest drawings and specifications

*

Assisting with permits to dig, ITPs, and daily site records

*

Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

*

Reporting progress and any issues to the Site Agent or Project Manager

Requirements:

*

HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or similar

*

Previous experience working on highways or road infrastructure projects

*

Competent in setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment

*

Good knowledge of highways specifications and QA procedures

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred)

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided)

Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension)

Rate: £330 – £400 per day (Outside IR35)

*

Days: Monday to Friday

*

Hours: Standard site hours (occasional weekend work may be required)
