Setting Out Engineer – Structural Steel

We’re looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering complex steel structures across the UK. This is a great opportunity to work on landmark projects while developing your career in a supportive environment.

What you’ll do:

• Carry out setting out, alignments, and as-built surveys.
• Support site management with quality checks and day-to-day project delivery.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure accuracy and verify works.
• Maintain survey records and contribute to a strong safety culture.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in setting out medium/low-rise structures, portal frames, and industrial projects.
• Proficient with modern surveying equipment (Leica, Trimble, GNSS) and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, health & safety, and steelwork accuracy standards.
• CSCS card, SMSTS, First Aid, and full UK driving licence.
