What you'll be doing
As a Site Engineer (Quality), you will ensure that all aspects of scheme delivery meet the required standards of safety, quality, and compliance. You'll be closely involved in documentation management, stakeholder communication, and on-site coordination to keep projects running efficiently and effectively.
You will:
·Assist in producing and managing site documentation including ITPs, CPPs, RAMS reviews, permits and material approvals.
·Support commercial teams with take-offs and Early Warning Notices (EWNs).
·Liaise with Principal Designers during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
·Assist Agents with programming and delivery of schemes.
·Manage and coordinate subcontractors on site under the direction of Agents or Project Managers.
·Submit Technical Queries (TQs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) using CEMAR.
·Ensure scheme documentation is completed and closed out accurately.
·Use AutoCAD for site layouts and mark-ups.
·Maintain comprehensive digital records using MS Office Suite.
What you'll bring
The ideal candidate will have experience within highways or civil infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of quality assurance and documentation management. They will be commercially aware, technically capable, and confident in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential attributes include:
·Experience working on highways or civil infrastructure schemes.
·Sound knowledge of quality assurance and compliance processes.
·Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
·Familiarity with CEMAR or similar project management platforms.
·Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications
·Essential: HNC/HND in Construction and the Built Environment (Civils Pathway).
·Desirable: Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
·Desirable: CSCS card and SMSTS - full support will be provided to obtain relevant site-based competencies if required.

·Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
