We are currently recruiting for an experienced Highway Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways project. This role involves overseeing site engineering tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out and surveying for highways and associated infrastructure works

*

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications

*

Managing quality control and compiling relevant site documentation

*

Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, and project managers

*

Supporting the delivery of drainage, kerbing, road construction, and pavement works

*

Conducting site inspections and maintaining accurate records

*

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

Requirements:

*

Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field

*

Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects

*

Proficient in the use of surveying instruments (Total Station, GPS, etc.)

*

CSCS card (essential)

*

SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

*

Strong knowledge of highway specifications (e.g., SHW)

*

Excellent communication and organisational skills

*

Experience with Muck shifting is desired

*

Earthworks experience
