OverviewJob Title: Site EngineerLocation: Taunton / M5 Corridor up to BristolSalary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Company VehicleContract Type: Permanent | Full-TimeWe are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Engineer to join our client's established groundworks and civil engineering team, delivering projects along the M5 corridor from Taunton through to Bristol. This is a hands-on role where you\'ll take ownership of setting out, site checks, and technical support, ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. Responsibilities

Setting out for foundations, drainage, roads, and external works Liaising with project teams, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery Checking drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy Producing as-built records and maintaining precise site data Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently upheld

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Site Engineering role within groundworks or civil engineering Proficiency with robotic total stations and other setting out equipment Strong technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across site teams

Desirable:

Familiarity with Trimble equipment and software
