: Permanent 45 hours per week Responsibilities As a Site Engineer you'll be working within the Nuclear team, supporting them in delivering the redevelopment project at the Dockyard Your day to day will include: Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, i.e., drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork etc. Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered. Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances. Regularly checking the setting out points and benchmarks and checking that all setting out instruments and measuring equipment are delivered to site with a calibration certificate and recorded accordingly. Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work. What are we looking for as a Site Engineer? This role of Site Engineer is great for you if: Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable – one or more of: BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, Completion of Higher Apprenticeship. Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey Experience in similar role. Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been a UK residence for the last 5 years can be considered for this role.
