Substructure & Reinforced Concrete (RC) Frame Works About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our newest project for an 85-week programme. The role will focus exclusively on substructure works and RC frame construction , ensuring accurate setting out, quality compliance, and programme delivery. About the Project and Company: The current project is part of a contract to build 895 new homes. The company is an established UK-based construction contractor delivering complex residential and commercial developments. Key Responsibilities: Establish, protect, transfer, and manage all site control points, datums, and grid lines throughout the project lifecycle. Set out and oversee quality control of substructure and superstructure works including piling, foundations, drainage, roads, slabs, columns, and cores. Monitor works to ensure compliance with structural, architectural, and MEP drawings and specifications. Maintain QA records and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) in line with contractual requirements. Produce accurate as-built records, slab edge surveys (including NT03 interface), level surveys, and net area checks. Issue and manage permits (load, pour, strike) including formal inspections and sign-off. Verify materials delivered to site meet structural and specialist specifications (concrete, reinforcement, waterproofing, etc.). Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain required hold points with Building Control and Warranty Providers. Review concrete test data and maintain cube test logs. Inspect workmanship, undertake falsework checks, interpret test results, and raise Non-Conformance Reports where required. Carry out topographical, dilapidation, and condition surveys, including level grids at 3m5m intervals. Monitor programme targets and provide weekly progress updates to the Project Manager. Agree and manage QA/ITP systems with subcontractors in accordance with company ISO procedures. Provide, maintain, and calibrate all necessary survey equipment and associated consumables. Take overall responsibility for site-wide surveying operations. Candidate Requirements: Proven experience delivering substructure and RC frame packages . Strong understanding of QA/ITP systems and statutory inspection processes. Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors and internal management teams. Competent in managing technical queries and maintaining accurate site documentation. Must supply and maintain all required calibrated survey equipment.
