Senior Design Engineer Remote (UTC-5 to UTC+1) | Competitive salary, stock options and benefits

Responsibilities
- Own and evolve our design system. Lead the technical design, development, and rollout of our in-house UI library to enable faster, higher-quality experiences.
- Ship with exceptional craft. Develop new features end-to-end with focus on UI details, polish, and interaction patterns.
- Collaborate and elevate. Partner with product and design, iterate on ideas, and mentor other engineers to raise quality.
- Transform the user experience. Audit the existing application, identify improvements, and create a more polished, intuitive Console.
Qualifications
- Obsessed with UI craft; end-user experience drives your work; you enjoy refining visuals and interactions.
- Deep experience building design systems. Proficient with React, component-based architecture, and scalable UI libraries.
- Thrives bridging design and code. Comfortable iterating on interface design in code and solving complex interactions.
- Driven by impact and ownership. Able to work in a fast-moving team with visible impact on product and trajectory.
Nice-to-have / Role Fit
- Experience building and maintaining design systems; strong collaboration with product and design teams.
- Foundations in statistics and math; experience with Go or other programming languages is a plus for cross-functional understanding.

Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Global (UTC-3 preferred)
Axiom’s mission is to empower developers to get the best insights into their data, as fast as possible. We are a remote-first and globally distributed team building a cloud-native, serverless data analytics platform. Axiom changes how developers and organizations think about their data.
Responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure for Axiom Cloud.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and refine service level objectives.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, performance analysis, and system tuning.
- Foster best practices for deployments and mentor the broader development team.
- Roll out tooling to improve reliability and reduce manual toil; address incidents and contribute to postmortems.
- Promote monitoring, alerting, and observability across the organization.
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a reliability-focused engineering environment.
- Passion for reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency; AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform/Pulumi); strong Linux networking knowledge.
- Familiarity with CI platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI); ability to work with LLMs.
- Monitoring, alerting, and observability experience.

- Proven track record maintaining production systems at scale; Golang background.

Software Engineer – EventDB
Axiom’s mission is to empower developers to get the best insights into their data, as fast as possible. This role is on the EventDB team, helping maintain and improve our custom high-performance time-series database. You will work on modern database design in a fully remote environment.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement components of our event database from ingestion to storage to querying.
- Write high-quality Go code and collaborate in design discussions.
- Maintain codebase health, diagnose and resolve production issues, and coordinate deployments.
- Work on our custom compiler for APL (Axiom Processing Language) and support customers as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of Go programming experience; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and participate in code reviews.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-performance applications.
Bonus Qualifications
- EU residency or ability to overlap 4+ hours with EU working hours (9:00-17:00 CET).
- Experience building/maintaining compilers or database systems; Postgres, Kubernetes, AWS fundamentals.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, low-level protocol design; math/statistics background.
