We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering firm looking for a

Software Design Engineer

to join their innovative automation team.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop software for industrial automation and control systems. Implement HMI and PLC programming using platforms such as Siemens and Mitsubishi. Work collaboratively with project and electrical design teams to deliver bespoke automation solutions. Participate in the development and testing of new software functionalities. Assist with commissioning and provide technical support when required. Ideal Candidate Profile: Strong experience in automation and software design within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Proficient in PLC programming and industrial control systems. Knowledge of HMI design, industrial communication protocols, and system integration. A creative problem-solver with a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
