Overview

We’re partnering with a leading systematic trading firm building out a brand-new AI group — their first dedicated team focused on defining and driving the firm-wide AI strategy. They’re looking for an experienced Java/Python Engineer (5+ years) who’s excited about the intersection of finance and AI. Ideally, you’ll have a strong engineering background in financial systems and be exploring or implementing AI/ML techniques in your current role. This is a rare chance to be the foundational hire, working directly with senior leadership to shape how cutting-edge AI is leveraged across trading, research, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a foundational hire joining senior leadership to define and drive AI strategy across trading, research, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain software in Java and Python with a focus on financial systems.
• Explore and implement AI/ML techniques in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Java and Python development
• Finance background
• Knowledge of Langchain, HuggingFace, and OpenAI
