Our respected client, a long-standing partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join the team at our Bristol site. Youll help shape the future of Air Defence Systems by developing innovative solutions and evolving products, while upholding our reputation for safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities: This is a highly hands-on position focused on the ongoing design and development of Command and Control architectures and their future product implementationsideal for a proactive Software Engineer who thrives on taking initiative.

What do you need?: Solid foundation in software engineering, with a clear understanding of its implementation and impact across systems. Hands-on experience developing in C++. Collaborative and transparent development style, with strong teamwork skills and the ability to maintain momentum throughout projects. Proven track record across the full software lifecyclefrom engaging with requirements to automated integration and validation, supported by clear documentation. Familiarity with emerging tools, techniques, and methods that can enhance process efficiency and sustainability. Additional programming experience in languages such as Ada and QT. Understanding of DDS middleware and real-time operating systems. Knowledge of industry standards like DefStan 00-55, DO-178C, IEC61508, and restricted coding guidelines such as MISRA C++.
