As a Front-end developer, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of the Salt Design System. We leverage the latest UI technologies to deliver maximum value to our stakeholders.The Salt Design System is the next UI Toolkit for CIB (Commercial & Investment Bank). It provides a comprehensive set of core UI components that can be used by different lines of business to create reusable patterns for their applications. These components and guidelines are designed to accelerate application design and development, while ensuring consistency and accessibility (WCAG 2.1) through stable design foundations.Job responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain high-quality React components for the Salt Design System.Collaborate with designers to implement UI designs and ensure consistency across digital products.Work closely with product managers and other developers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development, and actively contribute to process and tool improvements.Contribute to team culture of equity, diversity, and respect.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skillsProficiency in React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web design.Familiarity with modern front-end development tools and libraries (e.g., esbuild, rollup, vite).Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile).Additional qualifications and skillsExperience in building reusable UI components or working with design systems.Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks like NextJS, Remix.Experience with asynchronous operations in JavaScript (e.g., Axios, RxJS).Knowledge of UI state management.Contributions to open source projects.Advocacy for clean code principles.Understanding of UI accessibility concerns.Familiarity with JPM's design systems (UITK, MDS).About UsJ.P.
