Software Engineer

New Today

Overview

We’re building a modern ERP platform for the waste industry. Following a successful seed funding round, we’re expanding our team. Our mission is to help waste and recycling companies run more efficiently through smarter software — and to support them in leveraging AI and data in everyday operations. We’re a hybrid team with a central Glasgow HQ for collaboration.

What You’ll Do

You’ll join a small, experienced team working directly with customers to design, build, and improve the platform. You’ll have ownership across the stack — UI to database — and contribute to product thinking, not just implementation.

Your role will include:

  • Building and shipping new features in our Rails 8 app using Hotwire, Stimulus, and Turbo Native
  • Working closely with customers to understand workflows and design solutions
  • Improving our architecture, developer experience, and internal tooling as we grow

Our Stack

  • Ruby on Rails 8
  • TailwindCSS
  • Minitest
  • GitHub + CI/CD pipelines

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to tick every box, but you might be a great fit if you:

  • Have solid experience with Ruby on Rails and enjoy full-stack development
  • Are comfortable with (or excited to learn) Hotwire and Stimulus
  • Care about building great user experiences and value customer feedback
  • Take ownership and pride in your work — from the database to the button click
  • Prefer working in a small, fast-moving, product-focused team
  • Are interested in how AI can enhance customer workflows and your own development

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with mobile apps (Turbo Native a plus)
  • Background in B2B or ERP products
  • Interest in environmental or waste sectors

Why Join?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven company modernising a neglected industry
  • Shape a product early in its lifecycle
  • Work closely with customers, not just specs
  • Use modern dev tools and AI-assisted workflows
  • Hybrid work with a Glasgow office for collaboration
  • Competitive salary and flexibility
