Base pay range

Mid-Level Software Engineer – C# .NET (3+ years experience)

Location: Southampton (flexible/hybrid options available)

Salary: £45k to £60k (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are working with a leading organisation within the financial solutions sector who are looking to add a Mid-Level Software Engineer to their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with 3+ years of commercial C# .NET experience to work on high-impact cloud-based applications that are widely used across the life insurance and financial modelling industry. Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements, design solutions, and support project delivery.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable C# .NET code to build, enhance, and maintain applications.
  • Take part in code reviews and continuously improve your skills through collaboration and feedback.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues, delivering timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay up to date with modern engineering practices and technologies relevant to .NET development.
  • Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure quality through unit testing, integration testing, automation, and performance testing.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ commercial experience with C# .NET development.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and/or GPU programming (desirable).
  • Awareness of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
